Sensational hit "Arjun Reddy" has completed three week-run in movie theaters and is now entering fourth week, but the distributors are scrapping the number of screens.
After a terrific start and good collections during the first 15 days, the revenue has fallen drastically in the past one week.
Though the film won critical acclaim and has been liked by youth, it did have a setback due to the overt public speeches of the film's hero Vijay Devarakonda.
While it did not have competition from recent releases like "Paisa Vasool", "Yuddham Saranam" and "Meda Meeda Abbayi", "Arjun Reddy" started showing a fall in revenues.
On the other hand, "Fidaa" that has already completed 50 days is making more money than "Arjun Reddy" in Hyderabad.
So trade pundits say that the film will be taken off screens next week as the Dassera films will hit the screens.
"Arjun Reddy" was sold for mere Rs 6 crore and it brought in profits to distributors within three days. Its total share is in the range of Rs 23 crore world-wide.
Had the team been more careful and planned well, the film would have easily crossed the Rs 30 crore mark.
